Fitness Over Forty is a fun, fast-paced approach designed to ease you gently and joyfully into greater strength, flexibility and improved balance. This workout is focused on gradual improvements, variety of movement, and the camaraderie of working together with others over forty. If you are struggling with chronic pain, we modify your workout intensity to allow for a measured return to pain-free movement. Bring us your issues and we’ll design a carefully monitored program just for you.
Are you including rest and recovery workouts after your go-hard routines? Have you experienced soft tissue damage or joint/mobility issues? Everyone can add restorative fitness to their routine; you may need to pay more attention to lighter-weight, low impact work if you are over forty.
Our trainers work with you, either in small groups or one-on-one, to integrate slow, Pilates/Yoga holds and intentional core development movements to help bring you back to joint health, flexibility and pain-free workouts. Use foam rollers, bands and very light weights to gain confidence and improved range of motion. Then, move forward with more challenging movements as you heal.
