I’ve always been a dabbler – played a little basketball here, a little volleyball there, and spent years in and out of the pool, but nothing ever seemed to stick longer than two years at a time.
Granted, I was in sports meant for athletes much taller than myself (a staggering 5’1”!!), which lead to little advancement and even less interest in my physical pursuits. I had years of “gym rat life” under my leather lifting belt, waking up early to lift at Gold’s with my dad before class, but there was no structure, no goal, and no hunger for achievement. When I finally attended my first CrossFit class, that all changed.
I was bamboozled and very much coerced into my first class alongside a friend (as so many of us had started out!) who had been in the game for a while. I was immediately ignited by new challenges, new movements, new toys, and a new kind of competition – me against myself. I read everything I could get my hands on and attended every clinic I could, and I knew early on that coaching was the best way I could give back everything that my CrossFit community had given me – a sense of accomplishment every day, a sight for heights I didn’t know were possible, and a family of shared values.
With a background in strength training and having been introduced to Olympic style Weightlifting via CrossFit, I grew a love and obsession for the pursuit of precision weightlifting. In my 7 years of coaching, I have poured my passion into specialized weightlifting programming and have pursued a competitive athletic career myself.
Lead by example and share your love – and my love is sport and strength!

I got back to the gym last year after more than 5 years away from consistently working out. My wife was primarily concerned with me injuring myself since Crossfit was new to me and there are some stories out there about people getting hurt. I can say that I sure lucked out getting paired with Tali as my coach/trainer. Her experience in competitive weightlifting ensures that my technique and form is a priority which seems to be the biggest factor in keeping safe and injury free.
I’ve been getting consistently stronger and can’t imagine training with anyone else. I highly recommend Tali for anyone serious about doing things right and progressing with their fitness goals.
In my seven years of Crossfit Tali has been one of my favorite coaches. She’s always incredibly upbeat, engaging and extremely hands on. On top of that, it’s clear she’s extremely passionate about fitness.
During classes she would always have a versatile warmup that was different than the other coaches and simply, fun! During workouts she always made it a point to ensure we were properly warmed up and moving correctly. Her cues were so easy to understand and helped me connect the dots regarding technique.
Having a coach pay such attention to detail is extremely important to me especially when it comes to form. Since Tali has a specialty in weightlifting, it was nice to learn the true way to move weights.
I’ve loved learning lifting from her and wish I worked with her one on one. She’s an incredible coach with great technique and energy and I wish I could work with her everyday!
Tali is so motivating and always pushes those around her. She’s amazing!
Without a doubt, Tali is one of my favorite coaches. Not only is she incredibly knowledgable, but her ability to communicate that knowledge to her athletes in a way that is easy to understand is one of her strongest assets. Her programming is thoughtful and intentional, and you WILL get stronger if you’re willing to put in the work. Not only that, but her warmups and cool downs are creative and fun…and when you’re working out at 6am, this can make a huge difference! More than anything, I think athletes respond best to enthusiasm and passion – and Tali radiates both of these. If you get the chance to train under her, don’t miss it!
Despite the challenges of coaching large groups of rotating clients, Tali always knows everyone’s names and strives to have a positive relationship with every gym member. Tali applies her exceptional knowledge of weightlifting and fitness to tailor her coaching to individual members, working with them on form, weight, and goal setting. The result is a personal gym experience that maximizes results.
Tali made an incredible impact on our gym from the moment she walked through the front door, and she is in fact a main factor in me being motivated to go to the gym on a regular basis for the last 3 years.
My name is Jeff Pangborn. I’m 46 years old and have thoroughly enjoyed working with Tali as my Crossfit coach and Olympic weightlifting coach. If Tali isn’t coaching, she is usually perfecting her Olympic lifting techniques on the other side of the gym. What I enjoy most is her keen eye for technique. She has helped me in countless ways, improving as a Crossfitter and as a lifter. Tali has a way of keeping it fun and her devotion to the craft is inspiring. She will be an asset to anyone who is fortunate enough to have her on your team.
Coach Tali is a great CrossFit coach. She always takes time to explain the movements in detail and makes sure our form is correct during a workout to avoid injury. She is always enthusiastic and clearly not only loves coaching, but personally enjoys weightlifting and exercise. She’s an all around great coach and anyone would be lucky to work with her as a personal trainer.
Tali is the real deal. Regardless of your fitness goals: weight loss, muscle strength, endurance or just an all around need to be healthier and feel better….she will help. Warning: she “suffers no fools”. Be ready to be serious about improvement. Although she is great with all core building practices (pull-ups, push-ups etc), her passion is weight training. She will put her heart and soul into making you better.
Tali is a phenomenal coach. I have experienced plateaus and lack of progress in my fitness for a long time. Under Tali’s sharp eye, I have developed skills and technique that allowed me to keep making progress. Tali is extremely diligent about her athletes’ safety and proper movement mechanics. This was a very important aspect for me, since I have a history of back/hip injury.
I had a fantastic experience with Tali as my coach! It goes without saying that she is extremely knowledgeable; she also has a knack for explaining movements in clear, concise terms. As a beginning athlete several years ago, I struggled with barbell work (well, to be fair, I struggled with a lot of things!). Tali was able to demonstrate what I needed to do while giving simple yet effective cues, and with her help I slowly but surely made HUGE improvements!
Tali has a big personality (and a big heart!), and it comes across in her coaching. Her classes are always a lot of fun; you can tell she enjoys teaching and working with people. More than that, you can tell she genuinely cares about the athletes she’s training. I’d highly recommend her to anyone needing a coach. Five stars 🙂
