Mike first got into CrossFit in January 2012. After experiencing his first Open challenge, he knew that CrossFit was for him.
“It was hard. I could barely finish the workouts and I had no idea what I was doing, but I loved it!”.
After attending CrossFit classes for about 5 months, he began training as a competitor and participated in a few local competitions. In 2013, he qualified as a team member for the NW Regional games and completed is Level 1 Trainer Certificate.
Mike put CrossFit on hold for a period of time but now he is back training and coaching. Mike believes that training is only one phase of total fitness; proper nutrition and sleep is crucial to making gains.
“What I love most about CrossFit is the community. Every day you will see people push each other, celebrate personal bests, and help each other up after a tough workout”.
