Coach, Program Design & Personal Training
I started CrossFit in 2013 and began coaching in 2015. My fitness and health journey started before my CrossFit days.
Growing up I played sports and struggled with my weight. I didn’t think I was overweight, but thought of myself as “big”. I played baseball at a DII college. At my peak weight, I thought eating more would help me get larger and gain strength. I discovered weight lifting and began having fun with it, following the classic bodybuilding approach. In my senior year of college, I set a goal to lose weight and become more lean. After improving my nutrition, I came across the CrossFit Games on television and decided I wanted to try CrossFit.
I follow a Vegan lifestyle. No, I don’t eat fish, and ye,s I do get enough protein. Health and fitness are a top priority for me because it is important for me to be able to take care of myself physically and mentally.
“My goal is to help you forget about the deadline at work, the bills sitting on the table, and other life stresses. I want you to come into the gym to let go, have fun, and have a safe place to work on yourself.”
The best type of exercise is one we enjoy doing, whatever it is, from walking to yoga, swimming, jazzercise, or climbing. The best program is consistency. I enjoy CrossFit versus any other type of exercise because it’s fun for me. I love the fact that CrossFit challenges our strength and endurance. I love playing games in class and having people smile even for a second.
I am a coach and Crossfit Certified Trainer because I genuinely get excited if I can help someone progress toward their fitness goals. Progress is progress. It doesn’t matter if you come in today unable to do a pull-up, push-up, or deadlift 300 plus pounds. I’m here to help you get better for tomorrow.
